A presentation at Orkney NFUS AGM on agricultural policy developments in Scotland. Introduction to new project looking at the potential impacts of policy reform in Orkney, Shetland and the Outer Hebrides - where the project is considering long terms agricultural trends, support payment trends, upstream and downstream supply chain sectors, wider rural economy and societal trends, etc to highlight opportunities and risks to island economies from the reforms. The expected new support conditions in 2025 were presented including the calving interval conditions for the Scottish Suckler Beef Support Scheme - with Scottish and Orkney data presented.
