A presentation to, and discussion, with c.25 NFUS members from Lothian & Borders on future agricultural support. Covered future policy design including the whole farm plan concept as entry level standards for Tier 1 Base support, conditional Tier 2 enhanced conditions, changes in the private sector and evolving market demands. Changes expected in 2025 to bring in peatland and wetland protection under a new GAEC, calving intervals on Scottish Suckler Beef Support Scheme and elements of a whole farm plan as BPS entry level standards were also covered.
