Drawing on research data from the Novel Insights on Scotland's Rural and Island Economies www.nisrie.scot analysis within the Scottish Government Environment Natural Resources and Agriculture Strategic Research Programme 2022-27 the short presentation provides some background data on the distribution of LFASS support, the complexity of the scheme, and previous attempts to reform to set the scene for the panel discussion and questions from the Royal Highland Show 2024 audience.
