Data sharing considerations to maximise use of pathogen biological and genomics resources data for public health

Data sharing and accessibility for infectious disease agents under the FAIR principles has revolutionised disease tracking and epidemiology. Yet public sector data is often fragmented and restricted through privacy protections. A solution for integrated access is via Trusted Research Environments, adapting templates suggested for other types of public health data.

This report describes some of the challenges and solutions for realising great value and impact from infectious disease agent (pathogen) genomics data.
