<p dir="ltr">Aiming to reform the law around large landholdings, the Land Reform Bill proposes new obligations on owners of large landholdings to develop, publish and review land management plans.</p><p dir="ltr">Alongside the other proposals in the Bill, land management plans are intended to increase transparency of landownership and management, give a greater degree of community involvement in decisions concerning land, and support compliance with the principles of the Land Rights and Responsibilities Statement.</p><p dir="ltr">SRUC researchers reviewed examples of existing land management plans, seeking to provide baseline information on relevant extent, scope and content of existing plans. </p>
