<p dir="ltr">This report evaluates the quality and credibility of the NatureScot Commissioned review produced by Averis and Averis (2025) “<i>A review of habitat classifications for their potential use in a Scottish Biodiversity Metric</i>”. The report also provides comment on two draft NatureScot documents, (1) "<i>Choosing a habitat classification approach for the Scottish biodiversity metric: Rationale for the proposed approach"</i>, and (2) <i>"</i><i>Choosing a terrestrial habitat classification system to provide data for the Scottish biodiversity metric </i>- draft signalling for the NatureScot metric website".</p>
