Research Report: Mental health and well-being protective factors of lone and isolated workers in the West Highlands and Skye

The research aimed to explore the shared and unique experiences of lone and isolated workers in the West Highlands and Skye and to identify the strategies, characteristics, attributes and/or resources that protects a lone worker’s mental health and well-being. Findings from interviews with lone workers in the West Highlands and Skye and their employers fall into a variety of themes, which are broadly categorised in this report as Rural Fit and the Physical and Social Environment.
